This issue Katie Bird, from near Sydney in Australia, takes us on a journey through Western Australia, which she visited in August 2008. Starting in Perth, she travels from here down to the Margaret River region and Busseltown. Her trip then takes her east to Wave Rock and Hippo's Yawn.
Next stop was Fremantle and Rottnest Island, south of Perth, before taking a drive north up the Western Australian coast. The first stop north was in New Norcia, before heading on to Cervantes and the Pinnacles.
From here, it was a longer drive to Kalbarri and it's National Park near the Murchison River. North from here the trip took Katie to Shark Bay, Shell Beach and the town of Denham. From Denham, side trips were made to the Francois National Park and Monkey Mia.
The final leg of the trip back down the coast to Perth saw Katie stopping off at the Hutt River Principality and the small, historic town of Dongora.
